Elk Burland

Elk Burland is the founder of Synergy Beat, delivering powerful group drumming and collaborative music experiences to individuals and communities who may not typically have access to this transformative practice. His work spans corporate environments, conferences, high-end retreats, private events, and beyond—bringing the profound impact of rhythm to a wide variety of settings.

Elk discovered drumming during a time when he was searching for something to help manage his anxiety, mood, and the challenges of being neurodivergent. It quickly became more than just a hobby—it was like the ultimate fidget spinner, a way to release nervous energy, feel grounded, and reconnect with himself. In his darkest moments, drumming offered light, focus, and healing. The powerful benefits he experienced—mentally, emotionally, and physically—inspired him to share it with others. Now, he runs drumming workshops throughout the UK for small intimate groups to larger gatherings that help people tap into that same energy, joy, and sense of calm that transformed his life.
